Release Notes: Old changers have been deprecated. There are configuration file changes. The compile-time default --with-changer-device has been removed. There are changes to several of the utility programs.

Release Notes: Critical bugfixes. amtapetype has a new -p option. Many bugs have been fixed: in the S3 device driver, amcheckdump, file not being removed from the holding disk, sendbackup compatibility with a 2.4.2 server, handling of EROFS errors from a tape device, fd allocation in amandad, and a crash in amflush. ZFS snapshot names use the disk names.

Release Notes: An application API allows you to easily write wrappers around any backup program (see the 'amanda-applications' man page0. amgtar now uses GNU tar, which is a lot more configurable than the GNUTAR program. amzfs-sendrecv performs backups of a ZFS filesystem with 'zfs send'. The script API now allows you to run scripts before and after the amanda process. amzfs-snapshot takes a snapshot of a ZFS filesystem, which can then be backed up with amgtar.

Release Notes: 'amfetchdump -p', an amtapetype crash, and a planner crash have been fixed. An 'amadmin force' with strategy incronly will force a level 0 on the next run. Check has been configured to be sure it found gnutar. Other small bugs have been fixed.
