GLE (Graphics Layout Engine) is a graphics scripting language designed for creating publication quality figures (e.g., a chart, plot, graph, or diagram). GLE supports various chart types (including function plot, histogram, bar chart, scatter plot, contour plot, color map, and surface plot) through a simple but flexible set of graphing commands. More complex output can be created by relying on GLE's scripting language, which is full featured with subroutines, variables, and logic control. GLE relies on LaTeX for text output and supports mathematical formulae in graphs and figures.
HDLmaker generates hierarchical Verilog and VHDL code, PCB netlists, simulation and synthesis scripts/projects/make files, and schematics. It can translate Verilog/VHDL and HDLmaker projects into HTML, including extensive hyperlinking between the modules. It can also translate PADS PCB netlists into Verilog and VHDL and can do some simple VHDL to Verilog translations. HDLMaker synplifies the development of complex FPGAs and ASICs, and has extensive support for most Xilinx FPGAs.
LIBSVM is an integrated software for support vector classification, regression, and distribution estimation. It supports multi-class classification. The goal is to help users from other fields to easily use SVM as a tool. LIBSVM provides a simple interface where users can easily link it with their own programs. It is implemented in both C++ and Java. A Python interface and a GUI demonstrating SVM classification and regression are also included in the package.
Ngspice is a mixed-level/mixed-signal circuit simulator based on three open source software packages: Spice3f5, Cider1b1, and Xspice. Spice3 is the most famous and widely used circuit simulator. Cider is mixed-level simulator that includes Spice3f5 and adds DSIM, a device simulator. Cider couples the circuit level simulator to the device simulator to provide greater simulation accuracy (at the expense of greater simulation time). Xspice is an extension to Spice3 that provides code modeling support and simulation of digital components through an embedded event driven algorithm.
OBJ3 is a program specification and proof system based on order sorted equational logic. It has been successfully used for research and teaching in software design and specification, rapid prototyping, theorem proving, user interface design, and hardware verification, among other things. It was the first language to implement parameterized programming and its module system influenced the designs of the Ada, C++, and ML module systems.
Radiator is a radiosity renderer. It implements matrix, progressive, and hierarchical radiosity with clustering, and handles a variety of model formats, including multiresolution models. It also comes with a visualisation front-end, 'radvis', useful for previewing scenes or teaching, a scene viewer 'slview', and a Mesa-based batch rendering program, 'slrender'.
