BitchX is the premiere IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client. It originally was a modified version of the popular ircII client, and the features were eventually merged into the EPIC IRC client. The current development is aimed at merging the client back to a current branch of EPIC and bringing compatibility and stability back to the client, while bringing the features that are BitchX into a new client.
Isoqlog is an MTA log analysis program written in C. It is designed to scan qmail, Postfix, Sendmail, and Exim logfiles and produce usage statistics in HTML for viewing through a browser. It produces a "top domains" statistic according to sender, receiver, total mails, and bytes, and keeps the main domain mail statistics with regard to day's top domain, and top users values for per day, per month, and per year.
mod_backhand is a load balancing module for Apache. It provides per-request HTTP redirection within a heterogeneous Apache server cluster. Each request is processed and run through a set of "candidacy functions" to determine which server is best suited to respond. The request is then proxied to that server. Facilities are in place to allow you to write your own dynamically loadable decision making algorithms. Everything about the request and the current availability of resources can be used in the decision-making process.
This patch integrates SecurID authentication services directly into the OpenSSH daemon, allowing users to use SecurID tokens directly as their passwords instead of relying on the clunky sdshell. It rides on the plain password auth architecture in OpenSSH to avoid requiring ChallengeResponse or firstname.lastname@example.org style auth. It supports full privilege separation.
dmassage uses the information in a BSD system's dmesg to gather information about the system's hardware devices and present this information in a tree-like hierarchy. This information can then be used to build a more efficient kernel that only contains support for devices that are actually present. It can also be used to disable probes for absent devices, thus speeding up the boot process.
skill sends signals to processes given any combination of user names, ttys, commands, and pids. snice changes the priority of processes (given the same). They are similar to kill(1) and renice(8), but the commandline is order-independent. There are also verbose, search, and interactive modes of operation.
