album is a free HTML/XHTML photo album and gallery generator that supports themes/skins. You can choose different themes or write your own to get different layouts and styles. It creates all your thumbnails (including directory thumbnails) and descends into directories so you can organize your photos. The APC Action Applications (APC-AA) provide an easy automated publishing environment for non-profit websites. Features include 'Usenet-like' sharing of articles between sites, automated publishing of press releases, bibliographic information, who's who, event calendars, and more for multiple sites, and runs on Apache PHP/MySQL, with an optional plugin to store authentication information in LDAP. The software is also multi-lingual, and supports multiple character sets.
Aphid (the Apache/Perl HTTP Installation Daemon) provides a quick facility for compiling and installing the Apache Web server with support for SSL via mod_ssl, and with the embedded Perl interpreter provided by mod_perl. It downloads, compiles, and installs the software into the directory of your choice. Aphid places emphasis on providing an intuitive, browser-based interface and keeping a tiny distribution footprint. To date Aphid has been tested on Rehat Linux 6 and 6.2, FreeBSD 4.0, and Solaris 2.6 and 7.
Cascade is a Web-based content management system. It's based around the idea of organizing resources into a hierachy of categories, much like Yahoo. Some features include generating static or dynamic HTML, allowing user comments on ratings on resources, design abstraction through templates, suggested addition and update management, an auto-generated "What's New" page, support for related categories and virtual subcategories, and more. It can use Postgres or MySQL as its SQL database.
CCTE is a small utility to provide a way to run automated tests on Web applications. It acts like a Web browser GETing form data to different URLs, and logging output. It has two ways to understand if a CGI did OK: HTTP status, and user-definable strings for both (success and error).
Checklinks is yet Another HTML Link Checker (in Perl 5). Features include SSI (.shtml) support, direct file reads where possible, HTML 4.0, HTTP 1.1, and aliases and other server options. Other useful but more common features include regular expressions to restrict the URLs searched and results reported, and a detailed verbose report. Checklinks was written with Apache in mind, and you can feed it your srm.conf file to auto-configure many settings.
