bigloo-lib is a set of libraries for Bigloo, the Scheme programming language compiler. Most of the libraries are interfaces for various C libraries, such as the C runtime library, Gtk++, the LDAP client API, or the XML parser API. Other libraries are written entirely in pure Scheme, such as the HTTP library and the NODE library. The libraries are intended to make it easier to write programs in Bigloo scheme. bigloo-lib also provides a suitable framework to configure, compile, install, and deploy Bigloo libraries.
Bugzilla is the leading open-source/free software bug tracking system, with high-profile installations at mozilla.org, GNOME, Red Hat, and NASA, among others. It features a comprehensive set of fields, attachment management, inter-bug dependencies, email notification of changes, a powerful query interface, reporting, and Web, XML, email, and console interfaces. It can be managed entirely using a Web-based UI. The user UI is customizable using templates.
Expresso Framework is an open standards-based J2EE architectural framework that allows the developer to concentrate on application logic. It is a library of extensible Java Server application framework components for creating database-driven Web applications based on open standards. Expresso integrates with Apache Jakarta Struts, which emphasizes presentation and application configuration, and bringing a powerful tag library to Expresso. Expresso adds capabilities for security, robust object-relational mapping, background job handling and scheduling, self-tests, logging integration, automated table manipulation, database connection pooling, email connectivity, event notification, error handling, caching, internationalization, XML automation, testing, registration objects, configuration management, workflow, automatic database maintenance, and a JSP tag library.
The Information System Development Kit gives the developer a platform-independent method of creating Information Systems with data forms, SQL database access, database-browsing support, report generator and many other useful features. ISDK is now in a development stage and it is available only for the Linux operating system. The form module now works on text terminals using the ncurses library (not functional right now), and on the X-Window system using the GTK+ toolkit.
Jacquard is a Web-database integration toolkit, written as a Java Servlet package. It is designed to make it extremely easy to build two- and three-tier client-server applications which will be completely portable to any hardware platform and operating system which supports a Java 1.2-compliant JVM or a JDBC 2.0-compliant database management system, or any Web server or Web Application Server which supports the JSDK 2.0 API.
Metabase is a DBMS-independent PHP API to access SQL databases. It supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Access, ODBC, Interbase, Informix, MiniSQL, and SQLite. It supports nested transactions, blobs, and prepared queries. It can install database schemas defined in a DBMS independent XML format that describe tables, indexes, primary keys, and auto-increment sequences. It is also able to upgrade a database to a new schema without affecting the data that was stored since it was installed or upgraded for the last time. There is also schema reverse engineering support.
Net::Z3950::SimpleServer is a Perl module which implements the server side of the Z39.50 (information retrieval) protocol. It hides the complexity of network exchanges, packet serialization, and session handling. You are required only to implement simple callbacks to support searching and record retrieval. It is the basis of the "Zoogle" project, which is a Z39.50 gateway to the Google web index.
